Since the launch of Intel 10th Gen Core Comet Lake U series in the third quarter of 2019, it has been 1-year past. Most Mini PC manufacturers are still on the state of producing the 8th/9th Gen core PC.

For using the latest CPU on Mini PC, there are some difficulties, such as cooling system and motherboard design.

 

Mini PC are favored because of its small size, but this feature also limits its heat dissipation. It cannot install too powerful CPU fan which usually requires bigger size, and the space inside the box cannot be too large.

 

For solving this problem, Mini PC OEM manufacturers have to find other ways for the better cooling system. For example, change the smaller but more powerful CPU fan, change the better heat conduction materials, increase the space on the CPU surface, use better thermal conductive coating.

 

Before one Mini PC model’s new launch, there are some steps must be completed.

 

1. The Motherboard and CPU must be burn-in and tested over and over, make sure all the functions are running well.

 

2. The Motherboard and enclosure are perfectly matched. Every single port on the enclosure cannot be too large or too small, the gape should be under control.

 

3. After these basic checking, all the components on the board should work well when running the matched system.

 

For OEM products. Factory will adjust all the details according to customers’ special needs, such as products manual, gifted box, enclosure logo, and packing request.

 

Usually, for OEM products, there will be a MOQ request, for the small orders will increase the total cost, it is not good for the pricing and marketing.

 

 

 

Here are some suggestions for choosing a factory.

 

The products chosen is very important, before the marketing, need to evaluate the market demand and sales performance for the new products. Make sure the investment will be worth.

 

Once chosen the idea model, it is better to plan further, for example, one quarter selling, half year selling, and one year selling estimated quantity.

 

Make sure the chosen factory has the ability to offer enough selling models in your market, the longer business one company make with one factory, the better benefits this company could get.

 

For OEM products, the leading time is also very important. Normally it takes around 1 month for the components purchase and for the production. Some rare material and complex artwork may require longer time. Make sure all the necessary time is calculated within the leading time. No one would like to wait, no one would like to lose the selling opportunity, too.
